Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Council of Ministers (CM) considered this Wednesday, in Luanda, for sending to the National Assembly, the Bill amending the Angolan Penal Code.<\/b><\/p>\n

According to the press release of the 1st Ordinary Session of the Council of Ministers, guided by the President of the Republic, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o, the purpose of the proposal is to make corrections and eliminate inaccuracies, typos and insufficiencies recorded in the content of the diploma, as well as proceed the amendment of some standards, in order to ensure their more satisfactory implementation and application.<\/p>\n

In the same session, the Laws on International Judicial Cooperation in Criminal Matters, the Prevention and Combat of Terrorism and the Prevention and Combat of Money Laundering, Financing of Terrorism and the Proliferation of Weapons were also considered for submission to the National Assembly. of Mass Destruction.<\/p>\n

The assessment of these diplomas aims to conform the respective legal regimes to current national and international standards of reference, as well as to overcome some shortcomings.<\/p>\n

The idea aims to ensure, in this way, the reinforcement of the Repression of Money Laundering, Financing of Terrorism and the Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction.<\/p>\n

Foreign policy<\/p>\n

Within the framework of foreign policy, the Council of Ministers also considered, for submission to the National Assembly, draft diplomas approving, for ratification or accession, the following International Treaties:<\/p>\n

Resolution approving the Agreement between the Republic of Angola and the Republic of Rwanda for the Elimination of Double Taxation in Income Taxes and Prevention of Tax Evasion;<\/p>\n

Resolution approving the Framework Agreement on the Establishment of the International Solar Alliance – ISA;<\/p>\n

Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Angola and the United Nations on Visa Exemption for “Laissez Passer” and Visa Facilitation on Ordinary Passports for United Nations Personnel, their Dependents, Families and for Working Specialists;<\/p>\n

Draft Presidential Decree approving the Bilateral Trade Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Angola and the Government of the Republic of Zambia.<\/p>\n

GEAE<\/p>\n

Still in this session, the CM approved the Organic Statute of the Office of Strategic Studies and Analysis (GEAE), a body under the supervision of the Military House of the President of the Republic, specialized in providing assistance and technical-consultative support, through diversified studies on matters of national security and in the development of tasks of psychological action, information, communication, civic, moral and patriotic education.<\/p>\n
