Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Distinct figures from the political, academic and religious scene highlighted this Saturday, in Sumbe, Cuanza-Sul, that the spirit of February 4, 1961 should move youth to patriotism.<\/b><\/p>\n

The municipal secretary of OMA in the province, Orlanda Manuel, said that youth are the driving force of the country and must embrace patriotism.<\/p>\n

He urged the Executive to include in primary and secondary education manuals more lessons linked to the 4th of February and national independence so that future generations can know and study how much freedom cost and preserve history.<\/p>\n

For professor Mendes Lopes \u201cwe must work every day to keep safe and preserve on a large scale the achievements achieved after February 4, 1961\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe date galvanized the national liberation struggle and March 15, 1961 emerged, where almost all nationalists threw themselves into the national liberation struggle, paving the way for national independence, the benefits of which are clear and we are consolidating it and making it more efficient for the country\u201d, he reinforced.<\/p>\n

As for the gains in the education sector, the teacher said that they were well outlined, because the 4th of February reflects everything that is in the teaching program in Angola.<\/p>\n

For the former combatant and veteran of the country, Anto\u0301nio Trocado, youth have always been in difficult times in this country and it is this spirit that should guide everyone, as we have challenges linked to the development of Angola.<\/p>\n

For his part, Brother Victorino Capitango highlighted that the 4th of February brought many changes to the Angolan people, most of them for the well-being of the citizens.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe must continue with the reconstruction of our country and raise awareness, looking at our heroes who fought hard for this Nation and for this Republic\u201d, he concluded.<\/p>\n

The Catholic prelate suggested that we should all take something positive from this date so that we can evaluate and aim for a serene Angola, which must always fight for the common good and political stability.<\/p>\n

This Sunday, the city of Sumbe hosts the central event of the 4th of February celebrations, the day of the beginning of the Armed Struggle for National Liberation, to be guided by the Minister of Former Combatants and Veterans of the Fatherland, Joa\u0303o Ernesto dos Santos.<\/p>\n
