Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>More than one hundred identification cards for access to subsidies and exemption from payment of public services have already been delivered to former combatants and veterans of the country, in the municipality of Benguela.<\/b><\/p>\n

These are cards through which users benefit from subsidies and exemptions in access to some public services, such as electricity, drinking water, public transport, schools and hospitals.<\/p>\n

It should be noted that the identification card of the former combatant and veteran of the country for subsidy complies with Decree Law no 13\/03, of October 15th, which also exempts the beneficiary from paying some fees and has security codes, to avoid the forgery.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the delivery of the first hundred cards, the municipal administrator of Benguela, Paula Marisa Correia, highlighted the importance of this government program.<\/p>\n

For the administrator, the authorities’ goal is to minimize the difficulties experienced by former combatants and veterans of the country, giving them more dignity.<\/p>\n

According to the person responsible, the program will continue, so local authorities plan to make more cards available in a second phase.<\/p>\n

Under the motto “Preserving the values \u200b\u200bof the country, let us honor our heroes”, the delivery of the cards to the first beneficiaries in the municipality of Benguela is part of the day commemorating the 4th of February, the date of the beginning of the armed struggle for national liberation.<\/p>\n
