Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The president of the Board of Directors of the National Assembly (AN), Susana de Melo, stated this Monday that the Bill to amend the Parliament’s structure is based on transparency, equity and efficiency of services.<\/b><\/p>\n

Speaking to the press, as part of the specific discussion of the bill in question, he pointed out that the current challenges facing the AN are increasingly demanding taking into account the development of democracy itself.<\/p>\n

“In this sense, we need to have functional internal structures and bodies that respond to the dynamics of the democratic process, which is why it involves legislation, which is the main pillar that will guide the life of the AN from the functional point of view of its bodies and services”, creased.<\/p>\n

According to the PCA of the National Assembly, the objective of the Bill is essentially to adapt the current law to the new challenges and modernity that is required.<\/p>\n

He explained that the Bill touches on several aspects from the point of view of scope, object, autonomy, medical assistance, among others.<\/p>\n

The Bill aims to regulate the organization and functioning of AN services, the administrative, financial, patrimonial and technical support management instruments that allow the sovereign body to carry out its duties.<\/p>\n

Within the scope of the Bill, the administrative autonomy of the National Assembly consists of the power of self-regulation, through the establishment of its services, means and ways in which it is responsible for carrying out its duties and tasks.<\/p>\n

The Diploma aims to redefine the staffing of Parliamentary Administration bodies, with a view to adjusting it to current operational needs, in terms of careers, job descriptions and the performance evaluation system.<\/p>\n
