Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The National Swimming Team competes again, this Wednesday, in the World Swimming Championship, which takes place in the city of Qatar, in Doha, with Yano Elias, swimming, at 10 am, the 5km, in open waters.<\/b><\/p>\n

16-year-old Angolan Yano Elias has been a national bet in the specialty competition, after having represented the country in the world championship organized by Japan, in Fukuoka, 2023.<\/p>\n

The long distance runner of 1o de Agosto, who will compete with number 158, will have 76 opponents, with emphasis on the world champion, the German Florian Wellbrock, 26 years old, gold medalist, in the 5 (53min:58.00) and 10km events (1h:50:40.30), in Fukuoka, last year.<\/p>\n

In addition to the Italian Domenico Acerenza, 29 years old, bronze medalist at the Fukuoka World Cup, in the 5km (54min: 04.20).<\/p>\n

On Saturday, the national combined debuted with Rafaela Santo, in the 10km, in which she did not finish the competition, according to the official website of the International Swimming Federation (WorldAquatic).<\/p>\n

The country is also involved in pure swimming, which includes swimmers Henrique Mascarenhas, who will compete in the 200 and 100m freestyle, on the 12th and 14th of this month.<\/p>\n

In addition to Lia Lima, in the 100 and 200m butterfly, on the 11th and 14th of this month, and Nhara Fernandes, who will have a double shift, on the 17th, swimming the 50m freestyle and breaststroke, respectively.<\/p>\n
