Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>A group of 104 members of the National Union of Workers in the Beverage and Similar Industries (SNTIBSA) began, this Thursday, to be trained in internal conflict management techniques, to strengthen union action.<\/b><\/p>\n

Lasting two days, the training action, an initiative of SNTIBSA, brings together trade unionists from the provinces of Benguela, Cabinda, Cuanza-Norte, Huambo, Hui\u0301la, Luanda-Norte, Lunda-Sul, Malanje and Moxico, within the scope of fulfilling the statutes and training program for its members in the exercise of union activity.<\/p>\n

Participants are improving knowledge on topics related to hygiene and safety at work, the process of collective negotiation, leadership and management of internal conflicts, as well as the provision and approval of annual reports on the association’s activities.<\/p>\n

Speaking to the press, the general secretary of SNTIBSA, Gonc\u0327alves Branda\u0303o, said that the union decided to invest in the training of leaders to resolve internal conflicts and, consequently, defend the interests of workers in this sector, in accordance with what is established in the Angolan legislation.<\/p>\n

He specified that the training mainly covers young people for the positive performance of the organization, as well as the contextualization of the union approach so that the workers of this association are able to find a social balance between the employing authority and the work tasks carried out for their well-being..<\/p>\n

He recalled that the instruction was defined so that union members have positive attitudes and are capable of providing more accurate demands, to allow the well-being of members, in order to contribute positively to social and economic development for the benefit of the population in general.<\/p>\n

Gonc\u0327alves Branda\u0303o explained that the union organization constantly promotes social dialogues to strengthen relations between employers and workers, to avoid possible irregular dismissals and without prior interpretation in conjunction with Angolan legislation.<\/p>\n

The union leader admitted that beverage companies have achieved satisfactory rates of growth and have adapted to the Angolan context, the process of which has contributed to the creation of thousands of indirect jobs across the country’s 18 provinces.<\/p>\n

The secretary general of SNTIBSA, Gonc\u0327alves Branda\u0303o, praised the Angolan Government’s stance related to the withdrawal of the circuit of filling drinks in plastic containers and warned companies to reinvent themselves to maintain production in the country.<\/p>\n

In Angola, close to 20 beverage companies are controlled with a composition of seven thousand workers affiliated to the National Union of Workers of the Beverage and Similar Industries (SNTIBSA) distributed across the 18 provinces.<\/p>\n
