Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Inspector General of State Administration (IGAE), Joa\u0303o Manuel Francisco, reiterated, on Wednesday, in Menongue, capital of Cuando Cubango, the continuity of inspection activity, aiming to contribute to improving good governance in the country.<\/b><\/p>\n

Joa\u0303o Manuel Francisco, who was speaking to the press during the opening of the new IGAE facilities in Cuando Cubango, highlighted that it is essential to contribute to education and awareness-raising activities among public servants, so that the Central and Local Administration structures of the State fulfill their responsibilities.<\/p>\n

According to Joa\u0303o Manuel Francisco, it is also essential to strengthen the relationship with the public, in particular with the academic community, with a view to a dynamic, efficient and transparent administration, since the inspection activity carried out by IGAE has made it possible to identify some irregularities in some public institutions and companies.<\/p>\n

In the company of the governor of Cuando Cubango, the inspector, who is making his first visit to that province in this role, also considered it of great interest for the inspectors to assume a pedagogical stance, while carrying out their duties throughout the national territory.<\/p>\n

In this particular, Joa\u0303o Pinto clarified that the act of the inspector being a pedagogue is based on the principle of equality, remembering that everyone, as public servants, regardless of personal and professional relationships, must seek to use it for the common good.<\/p>\n

He argued that bad practices and misconduct make the execution of the public interest unfeasible, hence the need to improve the knowledge of managers to increase the quality of services to citizens.<\/p>\n

Joa\u0303o Manuel Francisco asked the inspectors for dedication, commitment and firmness, so that their work produces a positive impact on the management, not only of public affairs, but of the entire State administration.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, he reminded public managers that, in addition to the principle of delicacy in serving the public, it is essential that they strive for professional responsibility and secrecy, within the scope of the rigor that must exist in carrying out their activity.<\/p>\n

Therefore, it discouraged public and private sector companies from refraining from poor service to citizens, so that professional ethics and deontology, for the public business sector, can list several principles that govern the functionality of public institutions.<\/p>\n

New IGAE facilities<\/p>\n

The governor of Cuando Cubango, Jose\u0301 Martins, at the inauguration, recognized that the new facilities will provide greater dignity and comfort to employees, as it has a reporting, grievance and complaint room, as well as one for inspectors.<\/p>\n

For the governor, the 119 Call Center is a fundamental part of reporting, and it is essential that the population becomes aware of their rights and public services that should not be paid for, such as health and education in the first instance.<\/p>\n

Jose\u0301 Martins highlighted the main challenges of working so that the province has infrastructures that will provide better working conditions for all State Administration Bodies, within the scope of the Integrated Plan for Interventions in Municipalities (PIIM), such as the construction of police stations , hospitals, schools and other infrastructures.<\/p>\n

As part of the inspector general’s visit, this Thursday a lecture on \u201cEthics in Public Administration\u201d will be held at the provincial government’s amphitheater, where public managers will be equipped with new techniques and knowledge, focused on good practices on how to manage public funds, so as not to harm society.<\/p>\n

Created on January 17, 1992, IGAE is an auxiliary body of the President of the Republic, with the mission of carrying out internal control of the Public Administration, through inspection, inspection, audit, supervision, control, inquiry and investigations of all bodies, organizations and services of the direct and indirect administration of the State, as well as autonomous administrations.<\/p>\n

It also has the mission of preventing and detecting fraud, acts of corruption and impropriety, irregularities, misconduct on the part of public officials or administrative agents that comprise them, as well as defending public assets and strengthening integrity and transparency in the management of public goods.<\/p>\n
