Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The governor of Cuando Cubango, Jose\u0301 Martins, defended Thursday, the need for permanent training of human resources, for better efficiency in serving citizens who seek Public Administration services every day.<\/b><\/p>\n

Jose\u0301 Martins spoke at the opening of the training session on \u201cEthics in Public Administration\u201d, in a promotion of the General Inspectorate of State Administration, which served to provide public managers with new techniques and knowledge, focused on good practices on how to manage public funds , so as not to harm society.<\/p>\n

According to the governor, it is essential that public managers are permanently provided with training linked to their provision, in order to build a better Government and a better Public Administration, aiming to restore citizens’ trust in State institutions.<\/p>\n

The governor also considered it essential that public servants adopt the theme \u201cEthics in Public Administration\u201d as a doctrine.<\/p>\n

In his intervention, the inspector general of the State administration, Joa\u0303o Manuel Francisco, defended the need for greater interaction with related entities, to exercise good practices in public administration, aiming to promote ethics, deontology and integrity in the exercise of functions.<\/p>\n

According to the inspector general, the lecture served to enlighten participants about principles and values \u200b\u200band the exercise of responsible leadership, since inspectors should not be seen as people who want to create difficulties in the functioning of state institutions and their respective managers.<\/p>\n

For Joa\u0303o Manuel Francisco, ethics aims to alert everyone so that when exercising their functions they have limits of restraint, moderation and respect, taking into account the responsibilities that the body has, which is to excel in the good conduct of public managers, to better serve citizens and contribute to the country\u2019s development.<\/p>\n

He highlighted that the aim of carrying out the training action is to raise the quality of services, mitigate misconduct, bad practices and other initiatives that have contributed to a negative impact on the provision of services to citizens.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, he warned participants to always follow the framework of legality and lawfulness, remembering that those who inspect are privileged, but that they must restrain themselves so as not to fall into the temptation of wanting to usurp or exercise powers that belong to the Criminal Investigation Service (SIC) or the Public Prosecutor’s Office.<\/p>\n
