Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Secretary of State for Land Transport, Jorge Bengue Calumbo, recognized , in Cabinda, that the Executive’s investment in the construction of the Cabinda and Soyo Maritime and River Passenger Terminal has, in recent years, boosted the cabotage network of the North region.<\/b><\/p>\n

Jorge Bengue Calumbo made this recognition, during the official naming ceremony for the port infrastructure, now called the Cabinda Miguel Maria N’zau Puna Passenger Maritime Terminal, witnessed by the governor of Cabinda, Mara Quiosa.<\/p>\n

The Secretary of State for Land Transport said that, as an example, catamaran-type vessels make around 600 trips annually, transporting over 70 thousand passengers between the cities of Soyo, Cabinda and Luanda.<\/p>\n

Jorge Bengue Calumbo indicated that in total, throughout the last year, around 3 thousand 500 tons of various goods were moved.<\/p>\n

For her part, the governor of Cabinda, Mara Quiosa, expressed that the naming of the nationalist Miguel Maria N’zau Puna was a consensus of the members of the council for consultation and social consultation of the communities.<\/p>\n

For the governor, the Maritime Passenger Terminal was created to facilitate the movement of passengers and cargo, with greater security between the cities of Cabinda, Soyo and Luanda.<\/p>\n

Teresa Puna, wife of the deceased, thanked the Government for the gesture of recognizing the achievements of Miguel Maria N’zau Puna, as a nationalist, patriot and son of Cabinda.<\/p>\n
