Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>A water-based welding machine (electrolyzer) for various metals was created this year by two young self-taught Physics and Chemistry students from the municipality of Caa\u0301la, Huambo province.<\/b><\/p>\n

These are the brothers Alberto Atende Cassoma and Ma\u0301rio Sapato Cassoma, aged 24 and 21, respectively, who in six years, materialized their curiosity to know the chemical value of hydrogen, whose admiration was decisive for the creation of the electrolyzer steam capable of welding iron, bronze, aluminum, copper, gold and other metals.<\/p>\n

The electrolyser created works with two filters, one simple and one magnetic, a storage cylinder with a capacity of four liters, a gas transformation mechanism and a power supply driven, through a steam system, whose process only ended this year, after several tests of the equipment.<\/p>\n

The two brothers, from a family with economic difficulties, living in the CRC neighborhood, on the outskirts of the city of Caa\u0301la, focused their research on several manuals without a master’s degree in Physics, Chemistry and videos of scientific experimentation available on the Internet.<\/p>\n

The investors, without any academic degree in Physics and Chemistry, created the electrolyzer for welding various metals and heat treatment to contribute to the fight against climate change, at a time when the local government is investing in clean energy, through the construction of dams and solar boards.<\/p>\n

Alberto Atende Cassoma has a secondary education degree from the Primary School of the municipality of Caa\u0301la, while Ma\u0301rio Sapato Cassoma is currently striving to complete the secondary course in Biological Physical Sciences (CFB) at the Francisco Fato high school, located in Centralidade Fernando Faustino Muteka.<\/p>\n

Alberto Atende Cassoma said they needed support and incentives to graduate from the Electrochemistry course, to better participate in programs to harmonize the planet, with the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions.<\/p>\n

He explained that this electrolyser, which produces oxygen and hydrogen, is an Angolan proposal, designed to reduce carbon dioxide emissions with the introduction of ecological techniques, capable of seeking harmony in the planet’s ecosystem.<\/p>\n

He also recalled that the attraction for Physical and Chemical sciences is greater, but the lack of monetary values \u200b\u200bmakes these aspirations in the engineering field difficult, as they aim to make other dreams come true.<\/p>\n

He said that, despite the economic difficulties, the family supported whatever they could to structure the project to create a fully functioning steam electrolyser.<\/p>\n

The two investors dream of pursuing higher education in Electrochemistry to broaden their knowledge base and participate in international politics on the need to reduce carbon dioxide emissions, by promoting ecological principles to protect the environment.<\/p>\n

They intend to make the equipment more portable to help young people with low income, with a focus on promoting self-employment and sustainable development in the province.<\/p>\n
