Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Former Petro de Luanda players will, from this year onwards, begin to benefit from the retirement allowance, even without having deducted it while they were active.<\/b><\/p>\n

The information was provided (Friday), by the president of the Club, Toma\u0301s Faria, when speaking to the press, at the end of a series of lectures focused on \u201cSports Insurance and Sportsman Reform\u201d.<\/p>\n

According to the person responsible, in recent times, the club’s management worked with the National Institute of Social Security (INSS), to see the possibilities of such an instrument coming into action.<\/p>\n

He added that there were many club workers who were of retirement age, but did not qualify for social security contributions. He informed that only those who finished their sporting career at the club and continue to perform other functions, whether technical or administrative, will benefit.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are dealing with this process and it is at an end. The idea is that future beneficiaries can start to earn some amount every month and it can help with their social condition,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Without specifying the exact number of beneficiaries, Toma\u0301s Faria explained that all former athletes, who later continued at the club, will benefit.<\/p>\n

He mentioned that nowadays, all athletes with whom Petro concludes an employment contract start to automatically receive discounts, in response to the new legislation in force.<\/p>\n

For player Carlos Morais, the lectures made him more enlightened regarding the advantages of sports insurance and social security discounts.<\/p>\n

In turn, Joa\u0303o Fernandes, head of the Training Department of the National Sports Directorate (DND), holding lectures of this kind aims to respond to the demand and clarification of many former practitioners, who live in clear begging.<\/p>\n

They admitted that they are worried and intend to reduce this situation, and after the age of 60, benefits arrive as normally as possible, as required by law.<\/p>\n
