Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Secretary of State for International Cooperation and Angolan Communities, Domingos Vieira Lopes, discussed, this Friday, with the ambassador of Portugal, Francisco Duarte, issues related to the contribution of the two countries within the framework of the G20 agenda.<\/b><\/p>\n

The two countries are part of the group of Nations and organizations invited as observers by Brazil, which currently leads the G20, in order to participate in meetings on its calendar of events.<\/p>\n

Throughout its presidency, Brazil intends to organize more than 100 working group meetings and around 20 ministerial meetings, culminating with the Summit of Heads of State and Government, scheduled for the city of Rio de Janeiro, in November this year.<\/p>\n

Domingos Viera Lopes expressed Angola’s interest in amplifying certain positions in the context of the G20 and, during the meeting, sought to share perspectives on how this platform can be used to promote the country’s interests, as well as strengthen cooperation between participating nations.<\/p>\n

The G20 group is made up of the world’s main economies: United States of America, China, Germany, Russia, United Kingdom, France, Japan, Italy, India, Brazil, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Australia, Canada, Korea of the South, Indonesia, Mexico, Turkey, plus the European Union and the African Union.<\/p>\n

Among the organization’s main objectives is the coordination of economic policies among its members in order to achieve global economic stability.<\/p>\n

It also aims to promote sustainable growth, build means to avoid economic crises and seek to modernize the world economy.<\/p>\n
