{"id":56547,"date":"2024-02-20T18:45:45","date_gmt":"2024-02-20T18:45:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/angola\/?p=56547"},"modified":"2024-02-21T05:32:25","modified_gmt":"2024-02-21T05:32:25","slug":"inac-begins-training-cycle-on-child-protection-system","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/angola\/all-news\/inac-begins-training-cycle-on-child-protection-system","title":{"rendered":"INAC begins training cycle on child protection system"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Angola. <\/strong><\/span><b>The National Children&#8217;s Institute (INAC) in Bie\u0301 began, on Monday, a training cycle on the child protection system, aiming to significantly reduce violence against minors this year.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The event took place in the municipality of Camacupa, 82 kilometers east of the city of Cuito, an activity that is expected to be extensive throughout the province, until the end of the 1st Semester.<\/p>\n<p>The training is aimed mainly at the members who make up the Child Protection Network of the nine municipalities and also includes the participation of civil society, aiming to guarantee the implementation of the Executive&#8217;s policies in the field of child protection.<\/p>\n<p>According to the head of INAC services in the province of Bie\u0301, Vasco Cambovo, the idea is to equip the network in order to be more proactive in protecting children.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, according to him, topics such as the flow of care for children who are victims of violence, SOS-crianc\u0327a reporting service and the functioning of the Municipal Protection Network and promotion of children&#8217;s rights will be taught.<\/p>\n<p>On the occasion, the deputy municipal administrator of Camacupa for the Economic and Financial sector, Albino Mulanda Caioca, highlighted the carrying out of this training action, which covers the members of the Community Hearing Council, as it will make it possible to reduce cases of violence against the child.<\/p>\n<p>Bie\u0301 reported, in 2023, 1,705 cases of violence against children, compared to 1,140 in 2022, in the municipalities of Cuito, Andulo, Camacupa, Catabola, Cuemba, Chinguar, Chitembo, Cunhinga and Nha\u0302rea.<\/p>\n<p>Of the reported cases, 756 child labor exploitation, 500 physical violence, 223 psychological violence, 157 escape from fatherhood and 16 sexual abuse are highlighted.<\/p>\n<p>There were also 17 attempted abductions of minors, six abandonment of fetuses and three homicides.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/angola\">Angola<\/a> Follow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/\">Africa-Press<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Angola.
