Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Head of State, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o, reiterated this Sunday his firm desire to work to strengthen existing ties of cooperation and friendship with the Republic of The Gambia.<\/b><\/p>\n

In his note of congratulations on the 59th anniversary of Gambia’s independence, the Angolan statesman wished the Gambian people well-being and prosperity.<\/p>\n

The Gambia is a small country in West Africa that surrounds the lower course of the river of the same name, with a small extension on the Atlantic coast to the west, and an extensive border with Senegal.<\/p>\n

The two countries maintain an acceptable level of cooperation, with emphasis on the oil and gas area.<\/p>\n
