Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Seventy-five works by fifty artists will be on display, from the 22nd of February, at the National Museum of Natural History, in an initiative by the artist A\u0301lvaro Macieira.<\/b><\/p>\n

Titled “Art is the oasis of all deserts”, the number of works represents the year of National Independence and the 50 artists symbolize 50 years since colonial liberation.<\/p>\n

According to the artist, half of the paintings are from his collection.<\/p>\n

The exhibition can be seen in the International Exhibition Hall of the National Museum of Natural History, located on Rua da Muxima, in Kinaxixi, in Luanda, from 5 pm.<\/p>\n

A\u0301lvaro Macieira, born in 1958, in the province of Ui\u0301ge, is a journalist, writer, visual artist and cultural consultant.<\/p>\n

He was Culture Editor, collaborated on Ra\u0301dio Nacional de Angola, TPA and the BBC Cultural Tribune – London, in Portuguese.<\/p>\n

He is a member of the Union of Angolan Writers and the National Union of Visual Artists.<\/p>\n

He published three books \u201cCastro Soromenho: Cinco Depoimentos\u201d, \u201cCantos de Amor\u201d and \u201cCenturies of Love\u201d.<\/p>\n
