Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Angola and the Kingdom of Eswatini agreed this Monday, in Luanda, to create conditions for exchange programs and visits between the parliaments of the two States.<\/b><\/p>\n

The information was provided to the press by the prince of the Kingdom of Eswatini, Lindaninkhosi Dlamini, at the end of a meeting with the president of the National Assembly, Carolina Cerqueira.<\/p>\n

The prince of Ewatini said he discussed with his interlocutor ways of creating partnerships between the two parliaments and exchange programs and visits between legislators in the respective countries.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, he expressed admiration for the grandeur of the National Assembly palace, noting that the Kingdom of Eswatini is also engaged in the construction of a legislative building of this kind.<\/p>\n

PAN receives invitation to visit Eswatini<\/p>\n

The president of the National Assembly, Carolina Cerqueira received, from Prince Lindaninkhosi Dlamini, an invitation to visit the Kingdom of Eswatini and participate, in March this year, in the Marula Festival celebrations.<\/p>\n

“We are looking forward to welcoming the President of the Angolan Parliament to the Kingdom of Eswatini”, said the prince.<\/p>\n

The Marula Festival, known locally as the Buganu ceremony, is one of the ceremonies that unite emaSwatini through culture, values, traditions and respect for the Monarch.<\/p>\n

The Buganu ceremony is known among the EmaSwati as the ‘first fruit’ celebration that comes after the Incwala ceremony.<\/p>\n

Essentially, it’s about cleansing and renewing in a new year.<\/p>\n

During the ceremony, women network and showcase the different products they produce in their communities.<\/p>\n

Over the years the festival, which has attracted dignitaries from several countries, has evolved into a session where business ideas are shared and product markets are taken advantage of, not only within the facilities, but outside the festival itself.<\/p>\n

Chamber of Commerce<\/p>\n

During his stay in the country, the Prince of Eswatini held meetings with those responsible for the Angolan Chamber of Commerce and expressed his intention to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between the Angolan Chamber of Commerce and the Eswatini Investment Agency.<\/p>\n

The prince also visited the Luanda Special Economic Zone.<\/p>\n

Lindaninkhosi Dlamini said he was impressed by the information given to him that, last year alone, the Special Economic Zone managed to attract around 40 billion dollars.<\/p>\n

The Kingdom of Eswatini is a complete sovereignty under the rule of His Majesty King Mswati III. Under her rule, Eswatini has experienced economic advancement and prosperity with a relatively high standard of living for its citizens.<\/p>\n

Eswuatini is a member of the Southern African Development Community, the African Union, the Commonwealth and the United Nations.<\/p>\n
