Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The governor of Lunda-Sul, Daniel Neto, reaffirmed, this Tuesday, his commitment to continue working to improve the living conditions of former combatants and veterans of the country in the region.<\/b><\/p>\n

The government official made these considerations at the informative meeting on the re-registration and proof of life process, stating that despite the difficulties the country faces, the Government remains engaged in the search for better solutions to mitigate the multiple problems faced by pensioners.<\/p>\n

He highlighted that thanks to this re-registration, which took place from 2019 to 2021, it was possible to reduce the number, previously higher than 13 thousand and 825, to three thousand and 479 pensioners.<\/p>\n

He stated that the focus of the local government is the rationalization of available resources in favor of the true beneficiaries.<\/p>\n

For this reason, he appealed to all citizens who find themselves in this situation to contact the management of the guardianship institution so that they can continue to receive their pension.<\/p>\n

He explained that, after this step, the local government will interact with the supervisory ministry to present the results obtained and then the complaints of citizens removed from the process will be addressed.<\/p>\n

Daniel Neto said that the Government of Lunda-Sul has developed actions aimed at improving the living conditions of former combatants and veterans of the country, as well as their children, orphans and widows, with the creation of agricultural cooperatives, access to micro-credit and compliance with the law, regarding the distribution of residences in the Executive’s housing projects and admission to public universities.<\/p>\n

Currently, local authorities control 2,945 former combatants, three war disabled people of the first degree, 81 of the second degree, 274 of the third degree and 34 of the fourth degree, as well as 105 orphans, 33 widows and one companion.<\/p>\n
