Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Angola participates, as an observer, in the meeting of G20 Foreign Ministers that began this Wednesday, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, focused, among other issues, on resolving conflicts in Palestine and Ukraine, as well as as in global governance reform. <\/b><\/p>\n

According to a press release, the Angolan delegation, which participates in the event, is led by the Minister of State for Economic Coordination, Jose\u0301 de Lima Massano, assisted by the Secretary of State for Cooperation and Communities, Custo\u0301dio Vieira Lopes.<\/p>\n

The document states that on the sidelines of the meeting, with the aim of agreeing and aligning action strategies, as well as preparation, Jose\u0301 de Lima Massano, led a briefing on Tuesday, in which members of the Angolan delegation participated, having also visited the facilities of the Consulate General of Angola in Rio de Janeiro.<\/p>\n

As president of the G20, Brazil established as priorities social inclusion, combating hunger and poverty, promoting sustainable development and reforming global governance institutions.<\/p>\n

The Group of Twenty (G20) brings together the 19 largest economies in the world, in addition to the European Union and, from 2024, the African Union, whose main task is to support growth and development through the international financial and governance architecture in the major global economic issues.<\/p>\n

The organization includes South Africa, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, South Korea, the United States of America, France, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Russia and Turkey.<\/p>\n

It should be noted that, currently, the G20 group is chaired by Brazil, which is expected to end its mandate next November, at the summit of Heads of State and Government, in the city of Rio de Janeiro.<\/p>\n
