Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The President of the Republic, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o, expressed this Wednesday, in Prague, that Angola is interested in cooperating with the Czech Republic in the field of agriculture, manufacturing industry, higher education, science and technology and tourism, as well as in the sector of Defense.<\/b><\/p>\n

For the Head of State who is making a two-day official visit to that European country, at the invitation of his counterpart Petra Pavel, Angola is willing to cooperate in these sectors, taking into account that the Czech Republic is quite developed in agriculture, industry and has a experience in modernizing armed forces.<\/p>\n

Speaking to the press, moments after witnessing the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on Political Consultations between the two States, he said that there is an intention to deepen cooperation ties, which is why we need to update the legal instruments to serve as a basis and leverage this same cooperation so that it is fruitful.<\/p>\n

He guaranteed that after signing the aforementioned memorandum, the two countries are prepared to initial other documents in more specific areas, namely agreements on the protection and reciprocal promotion of investment, prevention of double taxation, visa exemptions in diplomatic and service passports and perhaps in ordinary, as well as others in areas of economic cooperation.<\/p>\n

“Angola is creating a good business environment and for this reason it is attracting foreign private investment in order to develop its economy”, he highlighted.<\/p>\n

He highlighted that the visit will be a great booster of friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries and peoples, highlighting that he invited President Petra Pavel to visit Angola, as soon as the Foreign Ministers of the two countries identify opportune dates and moments.<\/p>\n

He highlighted that the two countries have evolved from the single-party system to multi-partyism and a market economy and are in a better position to strengthen cooperation ties for the benefit of their respective peoples, thanking him for the friendly and warm welcome in Prague, capital of the Republic Check.<\/p>\n

Angola and the Czech Republic signed, this Wednesday, in Prague a Memorandum of Understanding on Political Consultations that aims to reinforce bilateral cooperation, which began in 1993.<\/p>\n

The moment was witnessed this morning by the leaders of the two countries, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o and Petra Pavel respectively, after they both held a private meeting.<\/p>\n

The foundations have been laid for the expansion of cooperation, with a relationship of more than 30 years in the most varied areas that will allow the identification of new areas of action that interest both States.<\/p>\n

On the first day of the visit, the Head of State, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o, was received at the Prague Palace, with military honors, by his counterpart from the Czech Republic, Petra Pavel, with whom he held a private meeting.<\/p>\n

The President of the Republic will visit the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies and will also hold a meeting with the Czech Prime Minister, Petr Fiala.<\/p>\n

Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o leaves the city of Prague on Thursday, February 22nd.<\/p>\n

Czechia or the Czech Republic is a country in Central Europe, with a population of more than 10.7 million inhabitants.<\/p>\n

Political-diplomatic relations between Angola and Czechia date back to the Cold War period, when this country was linked to the Slovak Republic, then Czechoslovakia, disintegrated on January 1, 1993, when it was part of the socialist bloc.<\/p>\n

The first secretary of the MPLA in Hui\u0301la, Nuno Mahapi guaranteed, this Tuesday, greater attention from the party in resolving the main social problems affecting the municipality of Gambos, 156 kilometers south of Lubango.<\/p>\n

Among the already known problems, we highlight issues in the social sector linked to the lack of schools, professional centers, health centers, unemployment and difficult access to some villages.<\/p>\n

Due to the concerns, Nuno Mahapi said that a strategy was set up, depending on the financial resources available, to continue to gradually resolve the problems.<\/p>\n

The politician was speaking during a visit to Gambos, to listen and verify the functioning of MPLA structures in the municipality and also presented the party’s Political Agenda for the current year.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, Nuno Mahapi stated that the municipality has always presented positive results for the party’s leadership, not only in the province, but at a national level, so they must continue to take care of this achievement.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe problems are known and not just in the municipality, there are more issues in the social sector that concern the activists who want to see them resolved and depending on the resources we will continue to resolve the difficulties\u201d, he reinforced.<\/p>\n

He also led an assembly of activists where he received suggestions to continue improving the internal functioning of the party and the socioeconomic issues of the municipality, in order to be closer to the population.<\/p>\n

The municipality controls more than 29 thousand militants.<\/p>\n
