Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The European Union (EU) will provide Angola with 275 million euros (1 euro is equivalent to around Kz 900), within the framework of the partnership established to support economic diversification, good governance, the fight against corruption and the development of capital human.<\/b><\/p>\n

The information was given this Wednesday, in Luanda, by the European Commissioner for International Partnerships, Jutta Urpilainen, after an audience with the Vice-President of the Republic, Esperanc\u0327a da Costa.<\/p>\n

He explained that the areas in question are related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as well as financial inclusion, as part of the EU’s support for the Government’s efforts.<\/p>\n

He highlighted the blue economy, justice and the rule of law, solid waste management and civil society training as priorities.<\/p>\n

The EU commissioner stressed that the financing falls within the scope of existing bilateral cooperation with Angola.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, he explained, in addition to aspects of cooperation, they reviewed issues about the Southern African Development Community (SADC), as well as its pacification efforts.<\/p>\n
