Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The first secretary of the Malanje MPLA, Marcos Nhunga, encouraged party members on Friday to commit to civil society in the fight against corruption, through complaints, with a view to stopping this practice harmful to the State.<\/b><\/p>\n

The politician made this appeal in the municipality of Calandula, during the provincial presentation of the MPLA’s Political Agenda for this year, noting that activists, especially those holding public positions, must serve as an example in this fight, putting the well-being of citizens above personal interests.<\/p>\n

Along this path, he guided the strengthening of interaction between the party leadership and the population, always focusing on the inclusion of all citizens, in the different sectors of life in the province, regardless of their party affiliation.<\/p>\n

\u201cPartisan differences must not give way to hatred. We must coexist and work with everyone who wants to find solutions to the people\u2019s problems and develop the country,\u201d she stressed.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, he reiterated the MPLA’s commitment, this year, to improving the business environment in the country and in the province in particular, to create more jobs for young people and guarantee self-sufficiency and food security.<\/p>\n

Another focus, he said, will be on the political and ideological training of JMPLA and OMA cadres and activists, in view of the upcoming challenges, in addition to strengthening party unity, cohesion and discipline.<\/p>\n

In turn, the deputy coordinator of the Monitoring Group of the Secretariat of the MPLA Political Bureau for the Province of Malanje, Manuel Figueiredo, urged those holding positions in the Executive to continue to strive for transparency and accountability, as it constitutes one of the principles of good governance.<\/p>\n

He defended the dynamization of political work and unity in favor of a government focused on solving citizens’ problems and free from intrigues.<\/p>\n

Under the motto \u201cMPLA \u2013 serve the people to make Angola grow\u201d, the MPLA’s political agenda for this year is based on eleven strategic axes, including strengthening the party’s structures, deepening internal democracy and social organizations, promoting training and ongoing evaluation of its leaders, accelerating the productive sector and ensuring food and nutritional security for families.<\/p>\n

The presentation of the document was attended by members of the leadership of the MPLA Provincial Committee, first municipal secretaries and distinguished activists and friends of the party.<\/p>\n
