Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The republics of Angola and Armenia expressed, this Friday, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, their interest in relaunching bilateral and multilateral cooperation.<\/b><\/p>\n

According to a press release, the matter was discussed during a working meeting that the Angolan ambassador to Ethiopia, Miguel Bembe, held with his Armenian counterpart, Sahak Sargsyan.<\/p>\n

The ambassadors highlighted the need to strengthen political and diplomatic relations between the two countries, allowing the promotion of private investment, with comparative advantages, mainly in the areas of trade, energy and implementation of projects linked to Artificial Intelligence.<\/p>\n

As host, the Angolan diplomat took the opportunity to recall the excellent cooperative relations existing between the two countries, which celebrate the 30th anniversary of their formal establishment, on October 3rd.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, Miguel Bembe informed his interlocutor about the highlights of the recently held 37th Ordinary Session of the Conference of Heads of State and Government of the African Union, in which Angola was elected first vice-president of the Bureau of the Conference of the continental organization for 2024 and member of the Peace and Security Council (2024-2026).<\/p>\n

The diplomats recognized the geopolitical and geostrategic importance of Angola on the African continent, especially in the Southern and Central regions, as well as the unavoidable role of the President of the Republic, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o.<\/p>\n

They highlighted the role of the statesman in the process of preventing, managing and peacefully resolving conflicts and normalizing political-diplomatic relations between the Democratic Republic of Congo and the Republic of Rwanda.<\/p>\n

The Republic of Angola and the Republic of Armenia established diplomatic relations on October 3, 1994.<\/p>\n
