Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The cooperation agreement in the cultural field, initialed this Friday, between the republics of Angola and Serbia, prioritizes the recovery and conservation of historical cultural sites.<\/b><\/p>\n

The memorandum was signed in the city of Belgrade, between the Angolan Minister of Culture and Tourism, Filipe Zau, the Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia, Ana Bnarbic, and the Serbian Minister of Culture, Maja Gojkovic.<\/p>\n

According to a note from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the agreement covers the areas of archaeology, cinematography, copyright and intellectual property and will be implemented from 2024 to 2026.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, Minister Filipe Zau considered it necessary to facilitate the hiring of archaeological specialists so that, as part of the elevation of M’Banza Kongo to a World Heritage Site, archaeological excavations could continue at the site, in accordance with UNESCO recommendations.<\/p>\n

The parties highlighted the importance of strengthening cooperation ties between the two countries, which date back to 1979, through the former Yugoslavia.<\/p>\n

Minister Filipe Zau carried out guided tours of the African and Yugoslavian Art museums.<\/p>\n
