Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The vice-governor of Cuando Cubango for the social, political and economic sectors, Helena Lourenc\u0327o Chimena, defended on Sunday the need for young people to be firm in preserving peace, national unity and national reconciliation, as they constitute great gains for the Angolan people.<\/b><\/p>\n

The vice-governor reiterated this commitment in the afternoon of praises of churches recognized by the State, in salute to the activities of the 4th of February, the Day of the Beginning of the Armed Struggle for National Liberation, held at the Menongue gymnasium pavilion.<\/p>\n

He argued that, to honor the dedication and dedication of former combatants, it is necessary that youth, gathered from different social strata, continue to pay tribute to these heroes, with practices that help to have a healthy society.<\/p>\n

Helena Chimena advocated that it is necessary to disseminate the achievements of National Heroes on an ongoing basis, where the church, as a partner of the government, must play this important role, aiming to ensure that this legacy can be continued.<\/p>\n

He highlighted the role that churches recognized by the State have played, especially in the moralization of society, in the education of citizens, in the issue of medical assistance, which is why the government will maintain this cooperation, considered important and strategic.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, the provincial president of the association of the gospel musical group of recognized churches, Lucas Kanguelo, praised the government’s initiative in promoting, within the scope of the 4th of February celebrations, praises in recognition of those who made their contribution, in favor of the struggle which had repercussions on the achievement of National Independence and, simultaneously, peace.<\/p>\n

The celebration of the 4th of February, under the motto \u201cPreserving the values \u200b\u200bof the country, let us honor our Heroes\u201d, was witnessed by the governor of Cuando Cubango, Jose\u0301 Martins, members of the local government, religious representatives and others.<\/p>\n
