Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The African Union commissioner, who has been in Angola since this Monday (4th) to discuss with the national authorities issues related to the preparation of the Extraordinary Summit on Terrorism and Unconstitutional Changes in Regimes in Africa, scheduled for Malabo (Equatorial Guinea), the 28 de Maio, will hold a working meeting today, in Luanda, with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, T\u00e9te Ant\u00f3nio.<\/b><\/p>\n

According to a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MIREX), Bankole Adeyoe, African Union Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace and Security, arrived on Monday, 4 April, to Luanda for an official 72-hour visit to the Republic of Angola.<\/p>\n

The visit program includes meetings with Jo\u00e3o Ernesto dos Santos “Liberdade”, Minister of National Defense and Veterans of the Homeland, and with Carolina Cerqueira, Minister of State for Social Affairs, as well as a guided tour of the Ven\u00e2ncio de Moura Diplomatic Academy, located in Kilamba’s centrality.<\/p>\n

The visit by the African Union commissioner takes place at a time when the Republic of Angola celebrates the “4th of April”, the date on which this year marks the 20th anniversary of peace and national reconciliation in the country.<\/p>\n

According to MIREX, this date encourages all Angolans to reflect deeply on the prevention of peace and national reconciliation, on the aggrandizement and prosperity of the country, based on respect, tolerance and civility.<\/p>\n

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs underlines that “Angola has ensured full cooperation with the African Union Commission and reaffirmed its absolute commitment to the AU’s strategic principles and objectives, and is also seriously engaged in supporting the ongoing institutional and financial reforms. in the organization, as well as in meeting the goals of Agenda 2063.<\/p>\n

Bankole Adeyoe was received yesterday at 4 de Fevereiro International Airport by Miguel C\u00e9sar Domingos Bembe, responsible for the Africa, Middle East and Regional Organizations Directorate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Angolan ambassador to Ethiopia and with the African Union and the Commission of the United Nations, Francisco da Cruz, in addition to Isabel Paula de Castro, director of the General Directorate of State Protocol.<\/p>\n
