Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Four Angolans completed, in Gaborone, Republic of Botswana, a training session on long-term election observation, organized by the SADC Secretariat and the Electoral Institute of Southern Africa\/EISA, with the participation of citizens of Member States, except the Comoros.<\/b><\/p>\n

For Angola, participated in the initiative, held from 25 to 31 March, deputy Pedro Congo, commissioner of the National Electoral Commission Eduardo Magalh\u00e3es, parliamentary official Geraldo Cambiete and CNE technician Esperan\u00e7a Miguel Armando.<\/p>\n

The opening session was in charge of Jorge Cardoso, director of the SADC Policy, Defense and Security Organ, while retired judge John Tendwa, member of the SADC Electoral Advisory Council (SEAC), gave a brief incursion on the Observation Mission of the subregion (SEOM).<\/p>\n

During the training, experiences in electoral processes were shared. An introduction to the logic and methodology of electoral observation was made, where participants recalled the principles of this process, as a form of electoral evaluation and the discrepancy between long-term and short-term observation.<\/p>\n
