Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>1.o de Agosto won, this Friday, the Angola Cup in senior women’s basketball, with a victory over Interclube, by 62-53.<\/b><\/p>\n

In a game played at the Pavilha\u0303o da Cidadela, in Luanda, the current champion was trailing at half-time, by 22-29.<\/p>\n

With this triumph, the RI-20 team brings the number of trophies in the competition to 16, compared to nine from their opponents, winners of the last edition.<\/p>\n

Cristina Matiquite, from 1.o de Agosto, was the best player of the match (MVP) with a double-double, that is, 18 points scored and 14 rebounds, being mainly responsible for the achievement.<\/p>\n

The challenge was completely balanced with alternating moments of supremacy for each of the players, with, however, a slight rise for the Interclube team.<\/p>\n

It was after the break that the “soldiers” led the reversal of the situation, taking over the operations on the court themselves, under the leadership of a recently appointed coach, Paulo Macedo, replacing Walter Costa.<\/p>\n
