Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Angolan ambassador to Portugal, Maria de Jesus Ferreira, said this Saturday, in Lisbon, that the 2023-2027 National Development Program places youth at the center of the formulation of public policies, oriented towards two priority pillars. <\/b><\/p>\n

Maria de Jesus Ferreira was speaking during the celebration of April 4th, Day of Peace and National Reconciliation, held under the motto \u201cTogether for the inclusive growth of the country\u201d.<\/p>\n

According to the diplomat, the two priority pillars are the development of human capital, by raising the level of qualifications of Angolans, aiming to provide them with opportunities to increase their standards of living.<\/p>\n

At the same time, there is a need to raise food security levels, allowing access to a balanced diet, increasing national production and employment.<\/p>\n

For you, the National Development Plan seeks to implement projects that directly impact the pillars of development and that have transversal effects on the different dimensions of social and economic life.<\/p>\n

He added that in an adverse economic and financial situation, internally and internationally, the Angolan Government has developed and will continue to develop normative, operational and financial efforts to provide the necessary resources for the Plan.<\/p>\n

The PDN is an extensive and dense document, covering all aspects of social and economic life.<\/p>\n

In this context, Maria de Jesus Ferreira invited students of economic, social, legal sciences, international relations and all interested parties to study the document, carry out research work and make contributions, particularly regarding the degree of execution, quality and impacts of the projects contained of the plan.<\/p>\n

Given the degree of importance of the date for the country, he suggested establishing an annual prize, on the occasion of Peace Day, to be awarded to the best academic research work on the National Development Plan 2023-2027 and the National Development Strategy. During the ceremony, two topics were also presented on \u201cAfrican Solutions to win Peace, South Africa and Angola\u201d and \u201cBenefits of Peace for Youth\u201d, spoken by Brigadier Manuel Correia de Barros and Ayrton Pahula.<\/p>\n

During the event, which was attended by Angolan diplomats accredited in Portugal, politicians, students, among others, those present were treated to moments of music offered by the Angolan musician Kizua Gourgel.<\/p>\n
