Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>1.\u00b0 de Agosto made its debut with victory in the African Championship of Cup Winning Clubs, in women’s handball, by defeating the Algerian team HBCEB, on Thursday night, by 32-19, in the inaugural match of the Group -A, played in Oran (Algeria).<\/b><\/p>\n

After winning the African Super Cup, the \u201cmilitary\u201d fulfilled their favoritism and won the match with less difficulty.<\/p>\n

The Angolan team will return to the court on Saturday, at 4pm, against Al Ahly from Egypt, for the second round.<\/p>\n

Still on Thursday and for the same competition, Petro de Luanda beat the host CF Boumerdes, 31-23, in a game also in the first round of Group B.<\/p>\n

The \u201ctricolor\u201d team, holder of the title, was already leading at half-time, by 17-14.<\/p>\n

Central Marilia Quizelete (Petro) was elected MVP of the meeting.<\/p>\n

The Angolan representative will also play again on Saturday against HBC from Co\u0302te d’Ivoire, for the second round.<\/p>\n
