Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The general secretary of the JFNLA, Carlos Kassoma, reaffirmed, this Saturday, in Huambo, his commitment to working on updating the militant mass on the importance of institutionalizing local authorities, as a factor in the development of communities.<\/b><\/p>\n

The leader of the youth organization of the FNLA party was speaking at the launch of the political program, called \u201cTenda da Liberdade\u201d, in an FNLA initiative, held in the informal market in the Kapango neighborhood, on the outskirts of the city of Huambo.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, he said that he will focus on direct contact with communities, with the aim of cultivating civic and patriotic spirit among citizens, so that, in the event of the institutionalization of local elections, the population can actively participate, as well as in other electoral challenges. from the country.<\/p>\n

He considered local authorities as determining factors for balanced development, both from a social and economic point of view, as they allow citizens to actively participate in the management of local resources.<\/p>\n

The official explained that the \u201cFreedom Tent\u201d program aims, above all, to strengthen the basic structures of the FNLA youth organization, with a focus on recruiting new militants.<\/p>\n

Carlos Kassoma highlighted that the JFNLA intends to recruit, with this initiative, close to 700 thousand new members by the end of 2026, with a view to massifying the party’s actions, to once again become a notable political force capable of contributing to well-being of communities.<\/p>\n

He said that the organization expects to achieve, at least, a representation of activists in the country of around 25 percent.<\/p>\n

For his part, the secretary of the FNLA in the province of Huambo, Jose\u0301 Sanji Ucuassapi, said that the local population is asking the Executive to reduce the prices of basic food baskets and fertilizers, to increase agricultural production.<\/p>\n

He said that the FNLA wants, above all, the confidence of the population to be able to contribute to reducing social and economic difficulties.<\/p>\n

The \u201cFreedom Tent\u201d was preceded by a march through some arteries of the city of Huambo, a distance of five kilometers.<\/p>\n
