Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The first edition of the “Revista Cienti\u0301fica do Ministe\u0301rio Pu\u0301blico” was launched this Wednesday, in Luanda, by the Attorney General’s Office, as part of the celebrations of the institution’s 45th anniversary, which will be celebrated on the 27th.<\/b><\/p>\n

The Public Ministry’s Scientific Magazine contains opinion articles, technical analyzes and professional opinions authored by prosecutors, the sharing of which aims to encourage reflection, constructive debate on the respective themes and scientific research in the various branches of Law.<\/p>\n

It brings together ten articles authored by nine magistrates and a member of the Superior Council of the Judiciary of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, as well as five legal opinions, issued individually or collectively, between 2016-2021, distributed over a further 240 pages.<\/p>\n

In a note about the magazine, signed by the Attorney General of the Republic, He\u0301lder Pitta-Groz, the judge states that with this project the aim is to promote the dissemination of legal knowledge, making approaches on different legal matters from the various branches of Law available to everyone..<\/p>\n

It can also be read that as a defender of democratic legality and representative of the State, the PGR is responsible for promoting the elevation of citizens’ legal awareness, contributing to increasing the community’s legal certainty and security.<\/p>\n

It advances that the dissemination of doctrine, jurisprudence and data relating to legal issues constitutes one of the most assertive ways of cultivating respect for legality.<\/p>\n

“We understand that prevention is an important aspect of combating illegality in general and crime in particular, with legal education being its most incisive tool”, he points out.<\/p>\n

In an era, he writes, in which the challenges of justice are increasingly transnational, Law wants to be increasingly globalized, making the paths for the development of legal science inexhaustible.<\/p>\n

For Pitta Groz, PGR knows that the journey is made by walking, so it intends that each edition of the magazine represents a firm step towards achieving an increasingly broader collective legal awareness that determines social conduct.<\/p>\n

With an annual frequency, the first edition was presented by Domingos Baxe, retired deputy attorney general of the Republic.<\/p>\n

From the 22nd to the 26th of April, the PGR holds several events, with emphasis on conferences, round tables and lectures, as part of the Legality Week activities.<\/p>\n
