Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Minister of Defense, Former Combatants and Veterans of the Fatherland announced, yesterday, in Dundo, that a total of 66,397 pensioners are included in the State’s Integrated Financial Management System (SIGFE) to benefit from pension funds.<\/b><\/p>\n

Joa\u0303o Ernesto dos Santos “Liberdade”, who spoke during the meeting with Former Combatants, clarified that the Ministry controlled around 174 thousand pensioners, but, as a result of the registration and proof of life process, 62,300 were determined nationwide, a fact that led to a re-registration, in August 2019, which ended in May 2023, with the current number of former combatants being determined.<\/p>\n

For the province of Lunda-Norte, 16,081 pensioners were registered, but during the re-registration process only 7,701 pensioners presented themselves, with 8,380 left out due to absence. The minister said that the non-inclusion of many other former combatants was due to the fact that they did not meet the required requirements, particularly as some were born after 1959 and false documents were detected, particularly photocopies. of the Identity Card.<\/p>\n
