Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Attorney General’s Office (PGR) in the province of Cunene, promoted, this Saturday, in the city of Ondjiva, a public consultation campaign for citizens with the aim of interacting with users who have their rights violated.<\/b><\/p>\n

With the participation of 10 magistrates from the Public Ministry, the campaign aimed to bring services closer to the population so that they feel comfortable and can expose their difficulties, also clarifying doubts about any matter.<\/p>\n

The PGR spokesperson in Cunene, attorney Fernando Miguel, explained that, in addition to bringing services closer to the population, the aim was also to raise citizens’ legal awareness.<\/p>\n

He said that during the event, magistrates interacted with citizens on matters related to family and minors as well as civil, administrative, labor and criminal issues so that users could obtain answers about certain legal processes.<\/p>\n

He said that citizens had the opportunity to present their concerns and legal problems, in order to resolve or direct cases in certain specific areas.<\/p>\n

According to the source, this is an act of raising awareness and legal education for citizens, enabling them to present their concerns or complaints.<\/p>\n

Fernando Miguel said that another purpose is to promote awareness that the prosecutor is an entity close to the citizen, open to complaints about any situation of irregularity.<\/p>\n

He made it known that the services now open are available to all citizens of legal age and minors in conflict with the law, taking into account that the population has often had problems because they do not know where to go to find a solution.<\/p>\n

He recalled that the event is part of the celebrations of the 45th anniversary of the PGR, institutionalized on April 27, 1979, with the approval of Law no 5\/90.<\/p>\n

In celebration of the date, Legality Week took place from the 22nd to the 27th of this month, with a series of lectures, radio debates, a legal campaign, visits to prisons and donations of basic necessities to inmates, as well as sporting activity.<\/p>\n
