Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The PCA of the General Tax Administration (AGT), Jose\u0301 Leiria, called on entrepreneurs to update their registration for micro activity, in order to be exempt from the 40 percent tax on the general regime’s import customs tariff and be taxed in the of 16, of the flat-rate regulation.<\/b><\/p>\n

The possible reversal arises due to the protest that entrepreneurial women from Hui\u0301la said last Saturday (27), against the worsening of the customs tariff and which brought the AGT superstructure to Lubango, which met this Monday with the business class, with a view to clarifying misunderstandings.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the end of a consultation meeting with Hui\u0301la businesspeople, Jose\u0301 Lieira said that the volume of imports by the class of women entrepreneurs had been verified and it was defined that they could be included in the flat-rate regime, whose value is defined by a convention or depends of external factors, in this case with a rate of 16 percent.<\/p>\n

He declared that, possibly, women entrepreneurs are not subject to the 40 percent rate under the customs tariff for imports under the general regime, as part of them imports in the order of one thousand and 500 dollars.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe had a very open dialogue with the enterprising ladies from Hui\u0301la, they raised concerns regarding customs obligations when importing clothes, about this we discussed the need for them to update their registration as a micro business activity, to be more relaxed, with regard to taxes\u201d, he stated.<\/p>\n

He showed solidarity with the entrepreneurs of Hui\u0301la, as AGT followed the demonstration that took place on Saturday with \u201cconcern\u201d.<\/p>\n

In turn, the representative of the Nucleus of Women Entrepreneurs, Zuleica Fuchi, explained that the demonstration was motivated by the increase in the new customs tax for traders who bring accompanied goods.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were subject to 30 percent, now they sent us back to 40, plus 14 in Value Added Tax, adding two more fees that will fall on us, the obligation to pay the State 56 percent of the value invested, which we find to be suffocating \u201d, he added.<\/p>\n

In addition, the businesswoman said that they left the meeting with the AGT PCA with \u201chope\u201d, so they will follow the recommendations and then, if it is not effective, they will go out onto the street again to collect money.<\/p>\n

Several businesspeople operating in the southern region, AGT, national directors of the Ministry of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, and the National Agency of Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels (ANPG) participated in the meeting.<\/p>\n
