Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The president of 1.o Agosto, Gouveia de Sa\u0301 Miranda, praised this Monday, in Luanda, the double African victory of the senior women’s handball team and promised a new triumph in the National Championship, in the month of May, in Benguela.<\/b><\/p>\n

The official was speaking at the collective’s reception ceremony at the Paulo Bunze pavilion, following the conquest of the African Super Cup and the Cup Winning Clubs’ Cup.<\/p>\n

In the competitions, held in Oran (Algeria), the 1.o de Agosto team had as its opponents the Petro de Luanda team, another Angolan representative.<\/p>\n

Gouveia de Sa\u0301 Miranda guaranteed the creation of conditions, without specifying which ones, for the team to perform well in the National Championship, from the 13th to the 25th of May, where the goal is to revalidate the title.<\/p>\n

The team’s captain, Isabel Guialo, said that it was a cup that the club wanted a lot, due to the fact that they lost the last edition in Egypt.<\/p>\n

As for the renewal of the squad, the captain is of the opinion that it is being done well, due to the potential of the young players.<\/p>\n

With the recent achievement, the “military” now total four trophies from the African Cup Winning Clubs Cup, against eleven from Petro de Luanda.<\/p>\n
