Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Petro de Luanda beat Interclube, 92-80, (Friday), in the country’s capital, in the first play-off match of the final of the National Senior Men’s Basketball Championship, played in the Pavilion of Kilamba.<\/b><\/p>\n

At halftime of the game, the best of three, the \u201coil\u201d team already had a 58-39 advantage over the \u201cpolice\u201d team, showing the strong intention to revalidate the title.<\/p>\n

The second challenge takes place, Sunday, at 6pm, in the same venue.<\/p>\n

To reach the final, Petro beat Casa do Pessoal do Porto do Lobito in the semi-finals, with a double of 100-67 and 92-91, respectively, in the best of three games.<\/p>\n

Interclube defeated 1o de Agosto, with tight results of 101-99 and 84-83.<\/p>\n

Still on the game, the two teams started well offensively, having balanced the score, in the first period, by 13-13 and 20-20, and ending in a 27-27 draw.<\/p>\n

The second quarter was the one in which Petro’s team came in more confidently and overcame Interclube, with a 21-point difference (58-37), as a result of the break. In the third period, the \u201coil workers\u201d won again, by 74-60.<\/p>\n

In the last one, despite the great effort made by the players of the \u201cpolice\u201d team, the \u201ctricolores\u201d guaranteed a difference of 12 points, enough for a 92-80 triumph.<\/p>\n

Interclube captain Wilson Ambro\u0301sio was the top scorer, with 22 points, followed by Markeith Cummings, from Petro (21).<\/p>\n

With refereeing by Cla\u0301udio Eluba, assisted by Anto\u0301nio Bernardo and Anto\u0301nio Samuel, the teams scored as follows:<\/p>\n
