Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>After competing, over the weekend, in the 24th round of the \u201cGirabola2023-24\u201d National Football Championship, Petro de Luanda took the lead in the competition, with 50 points.<\/b><\/p>\n

Until then second overall, with 47 pts, the current leader beat Interclube on Saturday by the minimum margin of 1-0, in a game played at the 22 de Junho stadium.<\/p>\n

Despite the 50-point equality between Petro de Luanda and Sagrada Esperanc\u0327a in the standings, the \u201cTricolores\u201d lead the championship followed by the Lundas in second place.<\/p>\n

The advantage of the \u201croad axis\u201d team arises from the advantage in terms of \u201cgoal average\u201d, which is the first tiebreaker criterion used when there is equality on points at the top of the classification and with the race still ongoing.<\/p>\n

In the current scenario, the tiebreaker criterion through direct confrontation between the two contenders would only be the first to be applied at the end of the competition, which would place Sagrada Esperanc\u0327a in the lead, having won and drawn in the two games against Petro de Luanda in the present Girabola.<\/p>\n

In the first round match there was a 0-0 draw, whilst in the second round match the Lundas won 0-1.<\/p>\n

While there is uncertainty at the top of the table, at the bottom it is not so much the case, with four teams on the line of relegation.<\/p>\n

These are Santa Rita de Ca\u0301ssia, in 12th position (18 points), Unia\u0303o de Malanje (13\/18), Sporting de Cabinda (14\/17) and Recreativo do Libolo (15\/16).<\/p>\n
