Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The commercial reorganization program in the city of Huambo, which aims to stop disorderly sales on the streets, sidewalks and avenues, began, this Wednesday, the activities of the coercive phase.<\/b><\/p>\n

The information was provided by the director of Inspection in the municipality of Huambo, Cesa\u0301rio Passa, when he mentioned that the pedagogical phase, guidance and organization of traders took place between March and last April, within the framework of the local authorities’ work plan.<\/p>\n

He made it known that the coercive phase of work will begin in the Sa\u0303o Pedro neighborhood, on the outskirts of the city of Huambo, from the former control area to the informal market in Quissala, aka Germany, vice versa, from the city center to the commercial area of \u200b\u200bCalumenhe , on the outskirts.<\/p>\n

He said that the initiative aims to reorganize local commerce, allow better movement of people and goods, as, despite the awareness, they persist in disorganization, in addition to taking advantage of the opportunity to speculate on the prices of the basic food basket.<\/p>\n

Cesa\u0301rio Passa explained that the work will be focused on controlling the quality of products, checking documentation and commercial organization of establishments, from fence licenses, auctions and the construction typology of spaces.<\/p>\n

To this end, he highlighted that logistical conditions are being improved for the application of fines and the temporary suspension of some commercial establishments, as they had enough time to organize themselves.<\/p>\n

He reiterated ongoing work to monitor unregulated and informal sales on sidewalks in the urban center of the city of Huambo, which has affected the fluidity of traffic and people’s mobility.<\/p>\n

The municipality of Huambo, one of 11 in the province with the same name, has an estimated population of 934 thousand 127 inhabitants, living in 433 neighborhoods, distributed in three municipalities, Chipipa, Calima and Sede, the latter with six sectors (Bandeira, Cacilhas, Capango, Nzaji, Xavier Samacau and Vilinga).<\/p>\n
