Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Eleven senior and mid-level technicians began this Thursday, in the province of Cunene, a paid internship that focuses on providing services to the Social Support Fund (FAS).<\/b><\/p>\n

These are seven students graduated from the Polytechnic Institute of Ondjiva and four from secondary professional nursing and teaching education, who will boost the functioning of the Integrated Social Action Centers (CASI) in the municipalities of Ombadja and Namacunde.<\/p>\n

The internships, lasting six months, aim to add a practical component to finalists and recent graduates from different educational institutions.<\/p>\n

Speaking the head of FAS in Cunene, Eduardo Silunda, explained that during six months of community internship, young people will have the opportunity to acquire work experience.<\/p>\n

In February 2024, a memorandum of community internships for final year students was signed between the Local Development Institute and two high schools in Namacunde.<\/p>\n

The Social Support Fund (FAS) has, among other responsibilities, the promotion of practical studies and projects aimed at combating poverty in rural and peri-urban areas.<\/p>\n

The community internship program covers recently graduated students from all over the country, favoring candidates whose exit profile brings added value to programs to combat poverty and rural and community development, public health and others.<\/p>\n
