Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The old and new generation of Angolan poets praised, last Thursday, the national cultural mosaic, with the recitation of several poems and prose by national artists.<\/b><\/p>\n

In an environment made up of children, young people and the elderly, the poets also recited poems by Portuguese and Italian writers that brightened the night at the National Museum of Natural History, located in Luanda.<\/p>\n

The executive producer of Atelier D’Artes Lucengomono, Pedro Sambo, informed that his institution brought together two generations to illustrate the way in which knowledge intersects and develops within poetry, as well as fostering a taste for poetry and reading.<\/p>\n

According to the producer, poetry in Angola is developing with a new, younger lyrical language.<\/p>\n

He urged artists to improve the level of investigation to sharpen the reader’s interest in reading.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, the poet of the old generation, Sandra Poulson, said that this union shows the importance of passing on testimony.<\/p>\n

Sandra Poulson, who recited several poems, with emphasis on “Liberdade”, by Alda Lara, and “Guerras no Cairo”, written by a Portuguese poet, urged the Angolan public to participate and promote events, read and recite poetry.<\/p>\n

For her part, writer and poet Aminata Gobel “Mama\u0303 A\u0301frica” \u200b\u200bdescribed the atmosphere as solemn, as it brought together two generations, with the aim of passing on the legacy from the elderly to the young.<\/p>\n

Mama\u0303 A\u0301frica, known for defending the value of African women, said it is essential to recite poetry, as, in her opinion, it is one of the ways of transmitting messages.<\/p>\n

There, he recited poems by Agostinho Neto, entitled “Choro da A\u0301frica”, “Brac\u0327o de A\u0301frica”, by David Capelenguela, and “Pura e Madura”, by Lupito Feijo\u0301.<\/p>\n

The new generation was made up of Raquel Vaz and Lu Matamba and the old one was made up of Sandra Poulson, Alzira Simo\u0303es and Bell Neto<\/p>\n

Atelier D’Artes Lucengomono aims to train, produce and provide services focused on culture, music and literature.<\/p>\n
