Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The national director of aquaculture, Anto\u0301nio Honde, highlighted, this Saturday, in Luanda, the commitment of the Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources in effective monitoring of the ecosystem.<\/b><\/p>\n

The expert was speaking on the sidelines of the consultative meeting to develop a master plan and reinforce the sector’s regulatory frameworks, held from the 9th to the 12th of this month, in the country’s capital, in partnership with the Inter-African Office of Animal Resources of the Union African (AU-IBAR).<\/p>\n

According to Anto\u0301nio Honde, the ministry is focused on the rigorous implementation and impact of the marine ecosystem, for the coming times, so all interested parties must be heard at the different stages of the development and application of regulatory instruments for the sustainability of a blue economy, including the national plan.<\/p>\n

He considered that the meeting marked the beginning of a continuous and collaborative journey, towards the conservation and proper and sustainable use of the country’s aquatic resources.<\/p>\n

Monitoring marine biodiversity plays an important role in the preservation and conservation of ecosystems, offering possible techniques for mapping work zones and identifying species.<\/p>\n

For three days, experts debated issues related to the protection of aquatic resources, the national master plan, as well as the regulatory framework for coastal and marine tourism and sustainable mineral activities.<\/p>\n
