Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Psychologist Frederico Andre\u0301 Chivangulula recommended, this Monday, in Huambo, the correct use of the internet in the family environment, to reinforce the educational process of children and the humanization of communities.<\/b><\/p>\n

The academic made this recommendation during the lecture on \u201cFamily values\u201d, promoted by the Angolan Women’s Organization (OMA) with the purpose of introducing more humanized habits and customs without losing sight of ethical\/moral principles, involving activists of the MPLA women’s association.<\/p>\n

The event is part of the conferences celebrating International Family Day, which is celebrated annually on May 15th around the world.<\/p>\n

Frederico Andre\u0301 Chivangulula said that the use of the internet in the family environment must be supervised by parents, through the selection of thematic contents that are decisive in the positive social change of children, as well as in the construction of ethical models without harming the customs and habits of the local population.<\/p>\n

He highlighted that the internet is a means of communication and technological tool available to all age groups, but its usefulness requires criteria and rules in the family environment, based on the principles of humanization and positive social relationships, to avoid the depersonalization of the inhabitants of a given community.<\/p>\n

The psychologist said that, currently, many family values \u200b\u200bare achieved through teachings made available on the internet, which, without the cultural context of people, destroy ethical\/moral principles and devirtualize the family environment, thus causing negative social pressure that causes discrimination and rejection of individuals who adopt these contents in practical life.<\/p>\n

The speaker explained that the well-used internet provides broad educational capabilities and fundamental positive knowledge for building children’s personalities, as well as simplifying geographic space when seeking to seek out humanized habits and customs of different peoples.<\/p>\n

He advised families to opt for cautious and calm reprimand of children so that they can discover values, when they make mistakes, as well as adopt education models that can motivate behavior change, without violent acts at home.<\/p>\n

For her part, the secretary of the Women’s Promotion and Development department at OMA in Huambo, Ilda Rosa Vitongue, called on families to participate in molding children, through education, positive habits and customs, which must be reinforced with training professional and academic skills for acceptable socialization.<\/p>\n

Ilda Rosa Vitongue urged families to be involved in ecological policy programs and the protection of the ecosystem, by combating natural pollution, for the safe preservation of family nuclei in communities.<\/p>\n

In the lecture, topics on financial literacy, economic and social values, as well as the normative elements of the family were highlighted, for the restructuring and humanization of communities.<\/p>\n

International Family Day<\/p>\n

International Family Day is celebrated annually on May 15th.<\/p>\n

The date was chosen by the UN General Assembly, which proclaimed May 15th as International Family Day, with the aim of highlighting the importance of the family in the structure of the family nucleus and its importance in the basis of early childhood education.<\/p>\n

Reinforce the message of unity, love, respect and understanding necessary for the good relationship of all elements that make up the family and draw the population’s attention to the importance of the family as the vital nucleus of society and its rights and responsibilities, among others, are included in the objectives of the anniversary.<\/p>\n
