Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The 1\u00b0 de Agosto team beat Electro do Lobito Monday, by 36 – 22, in the 1st round of Group B, of the National Senior Women’s Handball Championship taking place in the province of Benguela.<\/b><\/p>\n

Held at the Arena Aca\u0301cias Rubras pavilion, in the city of Benguela, the match had a balanced start, but then the military team imposed its superiority and reached the break leading 17 – 11.<\/p>\n

In the second half, the national champions continued to accelerate their game and expanded to 36 – 22, the final result.<\/p>\n

Electro do Lobito’s goalkeeper, Euge\u0301nia Ernesto, was considered the game’s most valuable “MVP” player.<\/p>\n

According to 1o de Agosto’s coach, Carlos Viver, who was speaking to the press at the end of the game, his team had a difficult first half, because it was difficult to get into their usual defensive system.<\/p>\n

Carlos Viver considered that, in the second half, his team started out calmer and more solid, ran more and managed to control the game.<\/p>\n

Electro do Lobito’s coach, Fernando Lui\u0301s, said that he knew the difficulties they would face against one of the best teams in Angola and Africa, which is why they entered the game very cautious.<\/p>\n

The official stated that the result does not influence the group’s objectives and that they will continue to work to reach the next stage.<\/p>\n
