Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The new Organic Law of the National Assembly will solve the lack of human resources that occurs in provincial circles, said, this Tuesday, in Menongue, province of Cuando Cubango, the president of the Board of Directors of AN, Suzana de Melo.<\/b><\/p>\n

Suzana de Melo, who was speaking at the courtesy meeting with the governor of the province of Cuando Cubango, Jose\u0301 Martins, said that the new law aims to give greater dynamism to current administrative acts and the necessary support for the work of parliamentarians.<\/p>\n

The Provincial Support Office for Deputies of the Cuando Cubango Electoral District, for example, only has five employees, when at least 10 would be needed.<\/p>\n

Suzana de Melo said that the visit to local offices, as one of the premises of this Fifth Legislature, serves to assess movable and immovable property issues, human resources, the functionality of the provincial Support Offices for Deputies, difficulties and find the best solutions.<\/p>\n

He pointed out that concerns regarding human resources are old and some derive from the amendment of the Organic Law of the National Assembly, which is already under discussion in the specialty.<\/p>\n

He assured that for a technical reason, it is intended that, in terms of functionality, all National Assembly committees would become competent for this issue.<\/p>\n

Therefore, he added, work is being done internally to move towards the procedures and then culminate in the discussion in the specialty, so that the concerns of the human resources of the local offices can find support in the updating of the new law.<\/p>\n

Regarding infrastructure, the president of the NA Board of Directors stated that the financial situation that the country has been experiencing for some time now has affected the dynamics and intensity that the Parliamentary Administration has had, in order to give greater dignity to terms of infrastructure of the provincial offices, as opposed to the headquarters.<\/p>\n

Even so, he continued, some were recovered through rehabilitation work, always doing everything possible to guarantee greater functionality and dignity for deputies.<\/p>\n

He said he had taken good note of all the issues presented, ensuring that the situation in the provinces could soon improve.<\/p>\n

He considered it important that there is a will, that the deputies are available and the governor allows the parliamentarians to exercise their oversight role, on the one hand, as well as integration into the social and economic life of the population, because if they do not have the support of the Executive They will also have no answers to give to the electorate.<\/p>\n

Therefore, he highlighted that the spirit of unity, despite the separation of powers, a healthy climate must prevail and that everyone can perform their role well.<\/p>\n

Suzana de Melo, who recognized the Executive’s interest in improving roads, promised advocacy so that, at the level of the General State Budget for the 2025 economic year, roads are a priority.<\/p>\n

He indicated that with roads, energy and water, investments could emerge and meet needs, by offering jobs and goods and services at more attractive prices and reducing pressure on the Government.<\/p>\n

In turn, governor Jose\u0301 Martins expressed concern about the comfortable conditions of the local nucleus of the National Assembly.<\/p>\n

The governor expects to see the nucleus supported by means of transport adapted to the sandy and rugged terrain of the province of Cuando Cubango, in order to allow deputies, on a parliamentary mission, to reach the entire population.<\/p>\n

After the courtesy meeting with the governor of Cuando Cubango, Jose\u0301 Martins, Suzana de Melo carried out a guided visit to the provincial nucleus of the National Assembly and consulted with employees.<\/p>\n
