Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Angola’s Ombudsman, Florbela Arau\u0301jo, participates in the 13th World Conference of the Institute of Ombudsmen (IOI), which takes place in The Hague, Netherlands, from the 12th to the 17th of this month.<\/b><\/p>\n

The provider participates in the event as IOI Regional Director for Africa.<\/p>\n

In The Hague, Florbela Arau\u0301jo participated in the session sharing knowledge and experiences on the role of the Ombudsman, environmental protection, damages, losses and injustices for citizens.<\/p>\n

At the opening of the lecture series at the 13th World Conference of the Institute of Ombudsmen, the King of the Netherlands, Willem-Alexander, highlighted the importance of the function and role of ombudsmen at an international level.<\/p>\n

He said that despite belonging to different countries, these mediators have the mission of promoting human rights, good governance and mediating conflicts between citizens and public administration.<\/p>\n

The King of the Netherlands also pointed out the \u201cprinciple of independence\u201d of Ombudsmen in the balance of the \u201cCitizen-Public Administration\u201d relationship, above all, in the creation of mechanisms that make it possible to maintain good interaction between them.<\/p>\n
