Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The current state and development of Ui\u0301ge literature dominated, this Friday, in the city of Ui\u0301ge, the V Provincial Conference on Literature, in an initiative of the Viv’Arte movement.<\/b><\/p>\n

The different panels discussed the contribution of ISCED-UI\u0301GE to the construction of Uigen literature, women’s literature, feminism in Angolan literature, canonical ideology for Uigen literature, the crisis in literary criticism and children’s and youth literature.<\/p>\n

The event also addressed the ways that guarantee the growth and development of local literature.<\/p>\n

At the opening of the event, the provincial coordinator of the Alliance for the Promotion and Development of the Hoji-ya-Henda Commune (APDCH), Geremias Maia Mateus, encouraged young academics to write more about the past and present of the province, in order to document the history of the area and serve as a reference for future generations.<\/p>\n

The event coordinator, Eduardo Canga Pedro, highlighted the importance of local literature in the process of social interaction, justifying that art fulfills the role of transmitting knowledge and information about culture, tradition, customs and values.<\/p>\n

He recognized that literary production in Ui\u0301ge is still very small, due to the fact that the region has only 20 writers.<\/p>\n

The holding of these events aims to promote and encourage literary art, so that more writers can emerge in the region.<\/p>\n

“The greater the number of art makers, the greater the availability of works and the concern for reading increases”, he highlighted.<\/p>\n

In the end, the session promoted by the Viva Arte movement produced recommendations for those who create literature in Wizi, so that they can focus on the constant growth of art and increase the number of consumers of different ages.<\/p>\n

Held in the amphitheater of the Instituto Superior de Cie\u0302ncias da Educac\u0327a\u0303o (ISCED-UI\u0301GE), under the guidance of the president of the Viva Arte movement, Vrackichakiri Abelardo, the activity was attended by students, writers, teachers, students, actors and other guests.<\/p>\n
