Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Republic of Angola and the Sultanate of Oman reinforced this Thursday, in Luanda, with the signing of a cooperation agreement, bilateral relations between the two States.<\/b><\/p>\n

The general cooperation agreement signed by the Minister of State for Economic Coordination, Jose\u0301 de Lima Massano, and the minister and president of the Sovereign Fund of Oman, Abdulasalan Mohamm Edal Murshidi, focuses on the economic-financial sector.<\/p>\n

At the end of the talks, Jose\u0301 de Lima Massano told the press that the agreement is the result of economic diplomacy carried out by the Angolan Executive.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs part of the actions we have been taking to seek more investments for the Republic of Angola, the Sultanate of Oman and its institutions saw opportunities in the country and the agreement signals this desire\u201d, he asserted.<\/p>\n

Also according to the minister, the document provides for investments in the most varied sectors, with emphasis on the economic-financial sector, in areas such as agriculture and the manufacturing industry in general.<\/p>\n

This is the first visit by an official delegation from Oman to Angola, so both parties look forward to the expansion of cooperation to other sectors, as well as the strengthening of friendly relations between the two States.<\/p>\n

The signing of the agreements was preceded, on Thursday night (16), by a meeting between the Angolan Head of State, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o, and the head of the foreign delegation, the Crown Prince of the Sultan of Oman, Sayyid The-Yazin Haitham Al Said.<\/p>\n

The Sultanate of Oman is an Arab country, located in the Middle East, a member of the Gulf Countries Cooperation Council, whose economy depends mainly on the export of oil and natural gas, and within the scope of its Strategic Development Plan (Vision – 2040 ), intends to diversify its economy, establishing partnerships with other countries.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, this country has stood out for implementing an active and pragmatic policy of good neighborliness with all States in the region and the world, which has received broad international recognition, due to its effective role as a conflict mediator.<\/p>\n
