Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The director of the National Institute for Religious Affairs (INAR), Adilson de Almeida, pointed out issues such as false prophecies, sexual abuse of minors, by pastors, causes that affect the social peace of Angolans, in the exercise of religious freedom.<\/b><\/p>\n

According to the person in charge, who spoke at the IIIrd edition of the Forum on \u201cThe Problem of the Religious Phenomenon and Its Implications in the Misalignment of Ethics and Values\u201d, actions such as \u201cnaked prayers\u201d, strange Christian rituals, practices of quimbanda and Sorcerers who pretend to be shepherds also affect social life.<\/p>\n

Adilson de Almeida lamented the fact that some churches were being transformed into hospitals, underestimating conventional medicine.<\/p>\n

He stated that there is some confusion between what a Christian church is and traditional African religions, having exemplified the situation of Islam.<\/p>\n

He added that the forum aims to address the complex relationship between the religious phenomenon, ethics and values \u200b\u200bin society, challenging phenomena of the proliferation of sects and religious practices leading to the deviance of ethics and the values \u200b\u200bof religiosity.<\/p>\n

The event aims to facilitate the creation of a joint strategy between religious denominations, the state and the government in controlling and mitigating religious phenomena in Angola.<\/p>\n

During the Forum, which takes place in partnership between the Ministry of Culture and INAR, the promotion of values \u200b\u200band Ethics in the Exercise of Religion, the Relationship between the State and Religious Confessions in the Consolidation of Values \u200b\u200band Ethics, Ethics and Prosperity will be addressed. in religious discourse.<\/p>\n

The meeting is attended by 150 participants, including legal representatives, spiritual leaders of various religious denominations, lecturers from the world of academia, religion, sociologists, jurists, anthropologists, philosophers, theologians, among others.<\/p>\n
