{"id":63309,"date":"2024-05-25T11:15:21","date_gmt":"2024-05-25T11:15:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/angola\/all-news\/igae-defends-continued-moralization-of-public-employees"},"modified":"2024-05-25T11:51:06","modified_gmt":"2024-05-25T11:51:06","slug":"igae-defends-continued-moralization-of-public-employees","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/angola\/all-news\/igae-defends-continued-moralization-of-public-employees","title":{"rendered":"IGAE defends continued moralization of public employees"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Angola. <\/strong><\/span><b>The national director of Human Resources at the General Inspectorate of State Administration (IGAE), Elsa Neto, advocated, this Thursday, in Ndalatando, the continued moralization of public servants, to promote professional secrecy outside the work environment , as a basic principle of ethics.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The head of IGAE indicated that all actions of public administration agents must be aligned with moral values \u200b\u200band rules of positive conduct.<\/p>\n<p>Public servants, he stated, must refrain from disclosing sensitive and confidential information about users and institutions in which they work.<\/p>\n<p>Elsa Neto, who spoke at the lecture on \u201cEthics and deontology in public administration\u201d, clarified that the disclosure of sensitive and confidential information constitutes a serious violation of the principles of professional ethics and deontology and may subject the author to sanctioning measures.<\/p>\n<p>The speaker also warned public servants to avoid emotional contact with the public, placing limits on technical and ethical intervention within their professional practice.<\/p>\n<p>Likewise, he defended a greater approximation and reinforcement of interaction between public managers and collaborators, as it constitutes the key to harmony and success in administrative activity, which must also be marked by prudence in decision-making.<\/p>\n<p>He also argued that, through its employees, public administration must base its actions on the principles and values \u200b\u200bof ethics, as the first step towards establishing a relationship of trust with society.<\/p>\n<p>The lecture took place at the Instituto Superior de Ndalatando (ISPNd) and is part of IGAE&#8217;s strategy to increase professional ethics and deontology in public administration.<\/p>\n<p>The act also aimed to reinforce cooperation between the institution and citizens, in favor of strengthening supervision and promoting complaints about the performance of managers and public institutions.<\/p>\n<p>The event, witnessed by the Inspector General of IGAE, Joa\u0303o Pinto, and the governor of Cuanza-Norte, Joa\u0303o Diogo Gaspar, was attended by entities from the provincial government, authorities from municipal administrations, representatives of civil society and academia.<\/p>\n<p>Joa\u0303o Diogo Gaspar considered that the speaker clearly demonstrated the deficiency that exists in the public service and how to overcome it.<\/p>\n<p>The speaker, he said, indicated ways for administrative employees to practice good conduct.<\/p>\n<p>Joa\u0303o Diogo Gaspar asked IGAE to hold similar lectures in the ten municipalities of the province, to recover values \u200b\u200band warned public officials to strictly follow the law.<\/p>\n<p>The lecture is part of the two-day visit to the province by the Inspector General of State Administration, Joa\u0303o Pinto, which ended (Thursday).<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/angola\">Angola<\/a> Follow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/\">Africa-Press<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Angola.
