Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>On the eve of facing Angola on June 11th, at the 11 de Novembro stadium, in Luanda, for the qualifiers for access to the World Cup in 2026, Cameroonian coach Marc Brys was fired from his position.<\/b><\/p>\n

The Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT), led by former striker Samuel Eto’o, recently announced the contractual termination with the Belgian, who had been appointed by the Minister of Sports, Narcisse Kombi, last April.<\/p>\n

The 61-year-old coach did not manage the team in any match, after being announced as a replacement for Rigobert Song, whose contract expired at the end of February and was not renewed.<\/p>\n

The decision by the president of FECAFOOT comes amid open conflicts between Samuel Eto’o and the Minister of Sports, Narcisse Kombi, creating a scenario of uncertainty regarding the next coach.<\/p>\n

The instability generated by this unexpected change raises concerns about the impact it could have on the team’s performance, at a time when cohesion and preparation are essential for success in the qualifiers.<\/p>\n

Remember, in the African Football Championship (CAN`2023), held in Co\u0302te d`Ivoire, Cameroon was eliminated in the round of 16 by Nigeria 2-0, while Angola went further, reaching the quarter-finals -Final.<\/p>\n
